Get to Know More About Hannah Clare Creative!
Welcome to Hannah Clare Creative, a freelance lifestyle, wedding, and elopement photography business based in northeast Wisconsin (and open to travel anywhere in the United States to work with clients). As a senior-college student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, I am beyond proud of myself for taking the leap and starting a business while also going to school full-time. It has been the greatest gift I could ask for, and the blessing of being a small business owner helped me find more positives in 2020.
I'm a firm believer in having a connection and knowing who you are working with. My business is personal and creates connections with clients. So, let me share a bit more about myself!
1. I am an English (Creative Writing emphasis) and a Journalism (Strategic Communication track) major at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and I am learning remotely due to the pandemic. I am set to graduate in December 2021, and I’m so excited for that next chapter of my life!
2. I'm OBSESSED with coffee! I love trying out different coffee shops all over, and I like to go on "coffee crawls" whenever I visit different cities, so I can experience all the different types of coffee available. My most memorable coffee crawl so far was in Arizona during January 2020. My mom and I stopped at 11 coffee shops in 6 days, including Macy's European Coffee House & Bakery, the oldest and first coffee shop in the state which is located in Flagstaff! My mom said that it had the BEST almond milk latte she has ever had, so y'all better put that coffee shop on your list for your next Arizona trip.
Be prepared to see several posts and photo sessions involving coffee houses; they are one of the best backgrounds, and I love the energy and aesthetic those types of spaces provide! If you want to take photos inside any coffee shop, I'm always down to go!
3. Another dream I have is to become a published author one day. I love writing Contemporary and Young Adult (YA) fiction, and I hope to write a book to share with the world. Books always helped me throughout my life, and I want to provide that creative escape for others and create a world for them that they can become absorbed in. I will be taking a class my final semester of college where I get to work on writing part of book, so I am incredibly excited for that!
4. Speaking of TV shows, I love to watch movies from the Golden Age of Hollywood! It's my favorite thing to do to kick back and relax. My favorite actors are Audrey Hepburn, Jimmy Stewart, Cary Grant, Bing Cosby, and Fred Astaire. I love the feelings of nostalgia these movies create, and it's so fun to watch these heartwarming and romantic films in my spare time. I'm hoping to do some Golden Age of Hollywood photo sessions one day, so stay tuned!
5. I am beyond excited to get to know YOU! My favorite part of my business is getting to work one-on-one with my clients and to create a connection with them. So, when working for a brand or photographing families, couples, or seniors, I want to know your story. What is your style? What makes you who you are? What joy do you want to capture through your photos?
